Promoting a New NKVD Head

Since we are trying to revitalize the NKVD clan, I think it is time we start fresh and appoint a new leader for the clan. I know it's Stalin's choice, and is ultimately his decision, but I personally think Chives would be the best candidate for the job considering he is arguably the leader behind all this reform. Thoughts? That is all.

Chives would be a good candidate, I agree. I also agree that we need a new clan leader. Mayor seems to be gone.

Are you sure he should be the leader based on he is the tip of the spear for the reforms? Are these reforms, or revolutions?

Anyway, we should put it to a vote, and pick a few candidates that can actively and effectively (for the forsee-able future) lead the NKVD. Chives may be one of them, but he has stated before otherwise.

Who would we pick?

The Staff, or Stalin himself, may decide that. We can provide suggestions and base them with lots of evidence. Evidence which can be copy/pasted onto spoilers and what not. I don't think anybody is going to take anybody's word, so to prevent utter chaos, this is one possible option.

A poll could be good but it should be ultimately Stalin's call, since the position requires moderator powers.

Alright how about we make a poll and the numbers of votes would be a recommendation.

First, we must present a select few peoples we wish to see as the head of the NKVD. Perhaps, limit one per person.

Now, if Stalin approves of this, here is my idea, keep in mind, this is just my idea, not an actual decision.

Each recommended person shall be 'tagged' or whatever you call it so that he or she knows what's going on. You will then save it as a draft, search for that person's post to find evidence as to help the idea that they should be in this vote. Perhaps 3-5 different posts, which doesn't have to be all of the post, just the part which is important to your choice. We could have, say, a two week period in which we can do this, and then the thread (probably not this one) will be closed, and maybe 5 spots can be chosen, based on how many likes the recommendation has received (Somewhat likewise to the Tribunal voting procedure) for a new thread which will contain a poll. When the poll is done, and a candidate is chosen by the voters, perhaps it can go to the mods, to see if that person is legible to be in this position.

Make sure to contact Stalin, we need him to be aware of this thread.

Keep in mind, it doesn't start now. Maybe Stalin has his own plans, but we don't know.

Go ahead if you want to. It'll give Stalin something to look at and consider. Also you should make sure to have users post their reasons for voting for that person.

I think it would be more fitting to have the forum members vote for the Leader of the NKVD.

Not to expressly limit the authority of @JosefVStalin, but the leader should be popularly elected.

I say once we get down to voting for candidates, Stalin should only intervene if there is a tie, and it should be left to him to be the tie-breaker.

Is this the nomination for leader of the NKVD Clan, or the nomination for the leader of the NKVD entirely, including the YouTube Channel?

I would say anything relating to leading the NKVD in it's games, not it's media.

If that's the case, I suppose I should clarify personally, again that I am not a clan gamer.

Under most circumstances, I probably won't participate in any clan games, with the possible exception of Darkest Hour.

Perhaps we could have other titles of which you can be the leader, or a pretty high-up in. Like hosting or planning the events, recording the events, posting them and keeping them fit on media sites, you know, stuff like that. This is a community, and we all must share it with one another.

Since the user has to be given permanent mod powers it has to be someone Stalin trusts. Otherwise it's the Matt issue all over again.

Do they have to be, if it's for a tiny thing, such as editing, recording or posting Clan based video's? Or any other thing?
