The hungarian cuisine is absurdly underrated.
Other countries don't always make their foods with half as much care as we do.

Hmm, I'm quite a fan of Italian and Indian cuisine. English isn't too bad either. I haven't really had any proper Chinese or Japanese food, only the stuff they have in restaurants (which is still good).
Now, Belgians are very good cooks as well, and if we include drinks into cuisine, the Belgians are absolutely top notch.
French is good as well, fish is awesome. And of course German, with giant...well...everything. I haven't had a lot of Eastern European food, but if I ever go to the Sziget Festival, I will try out some restaurants there. Acoording to my brother (who's been there), it's good food at a ridiculously low price, so I'm all for it.

Whaa? Except for the fried snacks, Dutch cuisine is just about the most boring you can find.

I know, but bitterballs are awesome. But I guess my favorite is Italian because I absolutely love pizza.

If Sziget has low prices the other VOLT is a bit smaller and has more local bands but it still is so much cheaper.
Please do try hungarian or other Eastern euro cuisines if you have a chance. It's really different from the western euro countries.Buth in taste and quality.

isn't all the good dutch food just the belgian stuff. Like fries and chocolate? I like the netherlands but when i think about them the food isn't really the first that comes to mind.

That's just because we have more products than just food.

Pretty much. Although the best kroketten are from Dobben, which apparently is a Dutch company (I thought they were Belgian myself).
A traditional Dutch dish generally consists of boiled potatoes, some boring vegetable (like cauliflower) and a generic piece of meat with gravy. We can claim land from the sea but we can't make an original recipe.

I'd heard several times that people who'd go on vacation to foreign friends would bring tons of chocolate sprinkles because you can't get them elsewhere.

I also forgot to add Turkish cuisine, or at least Turkish fast food. Damn that stuff is delicious.

You are a lucky man, I was going to Japan once on a school trip. It was gonna be a week long spending 3 days in tokyo and visiting cool locations across the nation.

While I was on the plane to california the Tsunami hit. They turned us around. Did manage to eat sushi in the california airport before going back though.

In short it was very tragic.

There's a place in Toronto (Canada) that I went to that was AWESOME hungarian.

For example, yes. You can use it to cook though so maybe you can qualify it as food.
