Because of request I open up a Finnish music thread, where we post Finnish music, nice and simple. I'll try to include a bit of everything and you can request what ever you like, I'll find it. I've been listening to this non stop for like a month or so Lordi- Hard rock halleluja, winner of Eurovision Song of the champpions This song has almost every Finnish rapper in it This is an old classic One of the most popular bands on early 21st century I used to listen to this band as a kid, I consider it one of the best rock bands of all time Another one classic + we have to give a chance for a girl band Something for reggae fans And lastly urban folk
After listening to those songs I can confirm that the Finnish make some awesome music outside of metal.
Gotta love me some Lordi. However, it always makes me sad when I realise so many bands start off their songs with good music, but then decided they'd get a singer that's absolutely shit and vomits into the microphone. While the stuff you posted isn't half bad, it's not something I'd listen to myself (with the exception of Lordi, of course, they're awesome).
For me, it generally comes down to bands more than genres, but if you could find a Finnish...equivalent (can't really find a better word) of Volbeat, that'd be awesome.
Finnish reggae was weird (very high pitch), had a nice flow though. I'd be glad if you could find some more.

If that isn't suited to your fancy, try "Excretions Of Vaginal Engorgement" by Putrefying Cadaverment, a Finnish folk song. Finns are very talented musicians.

The sad thing is that I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or not, to me all heavy/death metal sounds like shit but i know some people like this sort of stuff.
Finntroll is the worst Live Band I have ever seen. And Korpiklaani is a band I cant stand if I'm not drunk as fuck... Which is not a coincidence, because they are always drunk as fuck when they play.... Favs from Finland are definitately Ensiferum and Wintersun. Jari said that the new album will be released in summer, I will believe it when I have it in my hands, not a minute earlier xD
