After reading this thread, I hate to hear your comments on the Metric system.

The metric system is a communist creation. Notice how it seeks to be the global standard of measurement. Communism and globalism take many forms and although the metric system seems benign it's founding was something we shouldn't have ignored.

You do realize that it was made to simplify the measurement systems of the world... and thus ease the complications of foreign trade and imcrease the overal profit of a businesses globally. Next, are you going to say Latin is a Communist creation due to its exclusive usage of in the Scientific community for naming organisms and other related materials?

Why is everything people don't like labeled as communist? And why is being called a socialist or communist an insult? I gladly say, yes I'm a socialist, and most of the ideas I come up with are inspired by my political ideology.

The US and Burma, and the US I believe is beginning to transition. England I believe doesn't use the exact metric system either, more like a hybrid of metric and the US.
