Age: Members of the forums are strung out from age 13 - 30 (?). Its not fair to disregard someones argument because they are young, simply being interested in this stuff and having a concievable argument puts them a step ahead of the rest of the people in their age group (if they're young that is).
Political Ideology: Just because someone is a communist doesn't mean they're automattically wrong. I'm a moderate socialist, that doesn't mean I should be disregarded or insulted because of it.

Ageism is a legitimate prejudice, and in a political debate so is ideology.

Well I could have said discrimination on the basis of age, but it comes out to the same thing. Either way, it's a reasonable prejudice, just like discrimination on the basis of physical and mental health.
