    Out of the western military commanders, he was arguably the best of world war 2. He turned the US Army in Africa from a joke to a formidable fighting force. He basically steamrolled the German defenses in France (yes i know they were second or third rate troops, while Monty was getting his ass kicked in Belgium. He saved the day for the allies in the Battle of The Bulge. Sure he was nowhere near the greatest, but he was still amazing.
