So what do you people think about recycling?
    'Cause I think it doesn't really work (i.e it's bullsh*t!).

I have about 1000 cans of Arizona ice tea cans, water bottles, and juice cans in by basement right now.

In the USA you get money for recycling cans and plastic.

As for the op, yes it does make a difference, I have been to several recycling plants, maybe its just not necessary in the utopian Finland, deadtrap talks about so much.

Same in Canada. I am just lazy and don't like going to the recycling centre.

I don't recycle but I would go to the junkyard, the steel mill or whatever to sell some useless metal stuff for money.

There are plenty of places where you can bring back single glass bottles and pots. Usually, you get some money back from returning plastic bottles and crates of beer. As for paper/cardboard and garden trash, my dad usually takes it to the dump separately.

There is really no reason not to recycle. F0r me its almost the same distance to the recycling bins as to throw them away + you get money for recycling bottles at certain places.

So I incourage everyone watch that episode of Penn and Teller and, as they state, recycling is mostly useless (cans, bottles etc being exception) so why bother, you could use that time to do something productive... like being on the forums and stuff.
You should build a statue of yourself out of them.

Watch the episode and you'll get some reasons (if you believe them, that is).

Anyone who doesn't recycle their electronics should have their fingers removed in the most slow and painful way possible.
