This isn't really close to weird foods or eating in general,But I snorted up Paprika...twice. It burned like hell,I couldn't smell anything for a few minutes and my eyes watered like hell. Do not try this.EVER.
When I was in Japan, they will feed you everything they can drag up from under the sea. While I was there I ate a sea urchin, a sea cucumber, jellyfish, squid, octopus. I even had squid jerky, it was really fucking nasty.
No, it actually tastes pretty good. Wait... you live in Jersey, how have you not had scrapple? A picture of this succulent dish: Edit: My mom decided to make some for breakfast. Yum!
I once went to a restaurant and ordered escargot on a wim. All it tasted like was mushrooms and garlic, really.
Lute fisk. Dried fish soaked in lut (sort of poison) then washed out for 3 days before eaten. It's fucking disgusting.
I have eaten surströmming now all i need is to eat lutfisk and my quest to eat all the weird fish dishes in Scandinavia is complete! (There is probably thousand more of them.)
Ate lutfisk today, I liked it allot actually. The fish itself was not special at all but the cook made something fantastic with the dish.
I've eaten snails, and I quite frequently eat fried squid, it's awesome. As for other "strange"animals, I've eaten stingray and ostrich.
Feijoada is a pretty good brazilian food and no we don't eat it everyday. =) But I did try Octopus once...tasted like fish (surprise surprise). Also oisters(?) taste pretty bad, I don't know why people like it so much.
I ate Indian food a few days ago... it is one of the most confusing food groups you can eat from. Its extremely good, but you end up feeling weird and confused after your first plate. Also, Curry. Lots. of. Fucking. Curry.
