Results: 0-414 Votes The House on Wednesday night unanimously rejected an alternative budget proposal based on President Obama's 2013 budget plan, dispatching it in a 0-414 rout. http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-acti...-clobbers-obama-budget-proposal-in-0-414-vote http://www.taxpolitics.com/2012/03/obamas-budget-0-414/ http://news.yahoo.com/gop-run-house-easily-rejects-obama-budget-013519895.html So that went well!
Care to cite this? I don't see anything about voting for the budget on the 28th, only a few procedural votes and budget amendments (to the one that wound up passing) http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2012/ROLL_100.asp
Can you tell me exactly what his budget plans were? Unless the sources listed cite it. (Haven''t checked em yet).
Well... I honestly expected it to either succeed or fail by a slim margin, but that is just embarrassing. But I haven't really been paying attention to the budget talks. They never go well anyways [i.e. Super Congress].
Can you give me a summary. My friends computer is slow as hell and it is taking forever to load and Im too lazy to read it when it does load 20 minutes from now.
So I looked at the link you showed me and then I decided to go back to the official document, and it wasn't too bad. It wasn't great, but it was not bad at all IMO. One thing did stand out to me though that I strongly support:
Obama believes we can spendf our way out of a deficit which goes against even the simplest aspects of basic economics. Meanwhile Paul Ryan comes out with a plan that is realistic and he's attacked. The fact is our economy is fucked unless we make some serious spending cuts even if they are painful cuts.
Another president thought he could spend his way out of a Great Depression and look that failed miserab....oh wait...
You can't even try to compare Obama to FDR. Keep in mind FDR wasn't the one who put us in a massive debt and depression.
Neither was Obama. The financial crash happened before he took office. And wait a second, are you saying you like FDR?
Behind Washington and Lincoln I think FDR was the greatest president America ever had. The financial crash may have started with bush but Obama certainly put the nails in the coffin.
No bush set the events into motion which later cause the finacial crash early in his administration. By the time obama came into office and even in the last few years of bush's second term, it was to late to stop the crash. There was really nothing obama could do to stop it.
