You still haven;t answered why one mass murderer is better than another. Can I go ahead and write off Ghaddafi and Mao's death count because "shit happens"? At least it wasn't for genocide right?

No, you shouldn't. And I did answer your question. You asked what the acceptable limit was. I said there is not acceptable limit. If you really need a number, then 0. The acceptable limit that a leader should kill is 0. But that is in a perfect world. We don't live in a perfect world.

I love these forums. Things go so off topic but we still end up having constructive debates and discussions. Well, sometimes.

Then explain why Castro killing people is ok but when Hitler or Mao did it it's wrong. The question I'm asking is really simple. If you would condemn Castro as readily as any other mass murderer I wouldn't have an issue.

He has a point here. All of these people should be ridiculed and scorned for what they did. If I were to venture a guess, it's because Castro freed his country from an America-backed dictator and didn't commit mass genocide, while Hitler and Mao caused the deaths of millions upon millions and their countries went under massive reforms after they died.

Wasn't Castro backed by America when he first came to power?

No. America supported the batista government more or less even if we were embarrassed by his corrupt and murderous regime.

I was talking more about how Americans don't like to talk about our most massive and glaring fuckups, like Vietnam or Cuba. I don't know what you mean by Panama and Korea. I really don't know what you mean by WWI, since that isn't even a country.

Because you compared Castro with Hitler. That is not right. Castro is not nearly on the same level as Hitler. Stalin and Mao, however, are on the same level as Hitler. Most people in the US don't care about Castro or Cuba anymore. Whereas if this guy had said, "Hey Hitler is bad ass cause he survived almost 90 assassination attempts" then there would be mass protests against the guy and people would want him put in jail for hate speech or something. Castro hasn't committed crimes nearly as severe as many American backed dictators in Asia and Africa.
