Can We Literally Have A Debate About Locking Threads Without It Being Locked?

This thread is to talk about locking threads. I am asking @JosefVStalin to weigh in on this as well. I think, first of all that the mods are being a little too trigger happy with locking threads. @Kali 's thread asking why Toast was banned was locked for what seems like no reason. @Karakoran 's post talking about posts being locked was locked as well. I think we should at least make the moderators give a legitimate reason for locking threads.

Maybe you all need to read the rules once more just to refresh your memory.

There were reasons for locking; Kali got his answer, and the subsequent threads were therefore unneccessary. There is no locking conspiracy, and it's Toast's fault he was banned, not the mods'. I'm only shoving my two pence in 'cos it seems no-one is ever satisfied with the poor staff's answers.

I am requesting a change to the rules that states the moderators have to give a reason for locking. I should have added a poll.

I won't lock this one, but I'd like to remind people that staff and site policy is no longer up for public debate, as mandated by the Happiness and Smiles Act.

I'm not a member of the moderating staff, but I support Stalin's newest policies entirely.

For the record I always have except for the very beginning. It's always been more of an unwritten rule/guideline, don't really intend to stop.

I've always seen a legitimate and reasonable (at least to clarify why I shouldn't post on a particular thread) reason for locking a thread, I've no fucking clue what you're rambling on about.

Yes, but if this forum is going by this dumb act, change the title of the people's assembly to stalins or the staff or governments...I dislike this because my parents left the communist to ensure freedom and I will fight for any freedom that infringes on my opinion because if the people can''t vent they go crazy ! IF you just changed the title I would be happy because it won't gives us the illusion to complain

Hey guys, maybe we should just create a feature that locks the entire PA? Then we can stop all these spam threads going on about "rights" and "liberties".

I would like to think things that concern the general public the public should have some sort of voice in. You know, like locking all our threads?
