    No, the UN has nothing to do with alliances. And the UN never does shit, even when there are clear and obvious human rights violations and genocides. That's like saying we are allies with China and Russia too. Oh, as well as Iran. So, you heard it here first guys, the US is allied to Iran!!! Even though we are gearing up for war....

    I'm not ashamed to admit it :D
    It was a great book. However, in the book China didn't end up launching nukes (they were destroyed by US stealth fighters on the ground) and therefore China itself was not nuked into oblivion. Instead, China had a democratic coup. And now China's government in the newer books in the series is democratic, but they still have tense relations with the US.

    I just recently read the book and i have to say.
    Wrong china did attempt to launch all 12 of it's Nukes.
    Wrong again. A couple of Spetsnaz teams as well as Rainbow six team 2. were sent to deal with them as America didn't have any massive bunker busters left as they had used them all on Chinese rail roads. The special forces destroyed 10 of the 12 rockets, 2 got launched before they could be destroyed. One of those missles was shot down by a US helicopter on site (dumping fuel on allot of spetsnaz in the process) whilst the other was shot down over Washington DC.

    other than that you got the ending summed up.

    Also Japanese hotdog...

    Italy, South Eastern Europe, and Russia invade Germany while France and England explode into Civil War while Spain sneaks in through divided france and destroyed South France. China and Iran invade America but only take Small pockets in the South West before the war is left in a stalemate. America and Russia explode into debt due to to Western European trade partners falling into Anarchy, and China refusing any interaction with any nation and fend for themselves.
