I'm currently reading Anthony Beevor's Berlin 1945 Downfall and after that I'm planing to dig in to some Max Hastings.
Depends on the book. I once read 850 fine print pages in a day, and finished all 1200 by the middle of the next.
Right now I'm reading "Civilization: The West and the Rest." Basicly talks about how and why western civilization has become dominate in the world. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/27/b...iall-ferguson-book-review.html?pagewanted=all
Sly has a point. And the concept of the "NKVD Book Club" just sounds weird. But never the less, I think it's a good idea, let's do it.
