    How?

    It means that their government was weak and couldn't win. What is so bad about that?

    Point being: It hasn't worked.

    @GeneralofCarthage
    And exactly how many times and for how long has orthodox libertarianism worked?

    We really don't need more ideology vs ideology threads. Nearly every thread turns into one anyways. Threads where people go "mine's better and yours sucks!" "no mine's better and yours sucks!" really get nowhere and serve no purpose. Just getting tired of it. Some of us are communists, some of us are libertarians, some of us are socialists, some of us are everything else and none of us will convince the other of our perceived faults of their ideology.

    Yup I agree, I was about you to tell a socialist story how the government brutalize my family.

    So yeah people think different in general.

    Because using that as a reason that Anarcho-Capitalism, Libertarianism, Anarchy, or whatever the fuck it was called doesn't work doesn't make sense. How is one example of a political system sufficient evidence that it doesn't work? Would you use that standard of evidence for other aspects of politics? Because if so. . . heh.

    You judge if an ideology works by if a government with it is successful or not.

    Or you judge it based on what Hoxha thinks of it.

    No one is required or expected to respect the opposite ideologies, I'm just tired of all the bickering about it however. I do not respect libertarianism and I do not expect libertarians to respect my ideology. This does not mean I can't respect people who believe in it for other reasons but that is beside the point.

    I did, and I agree with it. What's your point?

    Did you read what I said? I'm very aware of that, but you're only using one example. Again, is this the standard you use for everything?

    Well, Somalia is a good example of Libertarian economics/politics. Small, decentralized government, unlimited and unrestricted free market, everybody is free to do whatever they want to try and improve their lives with unrestricted personal liberties. Now how is Somalia going again?

    I hate libertarians because they want to take my rights away from me - Because they will destroy our society with their unproven, unverified, child-like view of economics, and will in turn revert civilization back to feudalism. Libertarianism is my enemy.
