Which still makes no sense. Futbol is the Spanish word for football, just like it's voetbal in Dutch and Fußball in German.
I know, well not the Dutch world for "football". I was saying that it is called futbol in Mexico. I don't get how one assumes I meant all of Central and South America. EDIT: I know my Central and South American countries they are: Mexico, Guatamala, Nicaragua, Cuba, Chile, Peru, La Republica Dominicana, Columbia, Bolvia, Puerto Rico (Technically not a country but I will just throw it in there), Honduras, Panama, Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, El Salvador, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Trinidad & Tobago, there are many more but I will just list the Spanish ones.
You used mexican as if it was a language and that pissed me off, Futbol is a spanish word not a Mexican one.

No, I actually know each of those countries off the top of my hand. We were forced to learn them in Spanish class. True, and I was wrong. I have always seen it spelled that way though. In English yes.
We had to memorize all of the Spanish-speaking countries and their capitals. Passed the test like a boss.

Well, it is important to know all of the Spanish speaking countries in the world so that you know what language to speak if you go there.
True, although at least in Spain, English, and sometimes even Dutch suffice. At least, it did when I was there.
