Well my intentions were to say that anarchists are different than the Occupy movement. Sure there are anarchists in Occupy Wall Street but I think there is more than that in it compared to a group of just generally anarchists.

It wasn't really a joke. In fact it was a wasted half a page.

    Saw it on ABC.
The way they made it out, it sounds like a seasonal thing.

But honestly it seems like nothing really going to be happening this time, just people protesting and maybe a political leader trying to get a view votes might make a shout out to them, maybe even a Stephen Colbert joke or two.

    *Some anarchists love their violence
Baffling. The Kurds? The historically oppressed people? Divided up into several countries and denied independence? Please confirm if you were joking or not.

I still don't understand the hatred for a grassroots movement which aims to redress severe inequality and stopping gigantic financial corporations from crashing again considering they took our money.

I don't think it can be called a real grassroots movement anymore, not many people showing up to the protests.

How do you know what their aim was? They never had an offical set of demands or long term goals. It basically boiled down to vague protests about how the rich are trying to screw everyone over. This is why I hate the occupy movement. They had no real plan or goals and no leadership to actually unite the movment into a unified force and talk with government officials. The movement was never going to accomplish anything.

I would say this is their swan song. An increase in violence, while they may see it as a way to bring attention to the cause, will alienate the ones they are trying to convince to join their position, the moderates.

Occupy Columbia... now that was fail. They actually pitched tents in front of the State House gates and everyone ignored them. They even made pass at the University of SC in a sort of recruitment drive... didn't work out to well.

You see, they can't have leaders because they are supposed to be anarcho-socialists, where everyone is the leader. @LeninCat can expain.

Absolutely spot on. They never had general assemblies that produced documents that detailed grievances. *Spends 5 seconds Googling™* oh wait, they did:

I hate the Occupy Movement because most of them are filthy neo-hippies and hipsters. Also because they're ridiculously ineffective and annoying. They act as if people are unaware of the environment they live in, sit around and complain, but offer no solutions.

The Occupy Movement's grievances are hilarious.

      • What's illegal about it?
      • Ok.
      • Rarely.
      • POisoned the food supply? Really?
      • Ok and they plan to stop that how?
      • Lol.
      • Higher education is not a human right. And last time I checked, nobody is a hostage.
      • So they are going to protest the country that they want the labour to come back to? Smart.
      • Ok.
      • Ok.
      • Ok.
      • This I find absolutely hilarious. They should go live in North Korea and then come back and say this.
      • I always see recalls of faulty products.
      • What?
      • So?
      • That's not up to them.
      • Yeah, riiiiigggghhhhhtttt.
      • Faulty bookkeeping?
      • Again, North Korea.
      • What?
      • Lolololololol.
      • Lol.
How the hell does this affect the occupy people?
