Everyone fears nukes, what I fear is rockets, airstrikes the death toll will be in millions, the land ravaged for war materials, forced conscription, alliances broken, children becoming orphans, parents becoming childless.

War isn't something to fantasize about, pray to whatever you believe in this doesn't happen, because I will bet, none of our children will ever be safe again.

Honestly what is this fantasy that everyone has about China and U.S.A going to war, honestly even though the odds are tipped in the USA favor, no sane person in either country wishes for war with each other, the death toll would be in the millions.

Lets not forget, We are both trade partners, China would lose billions and america would be out out of imports if we went to war.

Not to mention China owns a massive part of the US debt. Lacking any knowledge of economics, I wonder how that would play out in a conflict if one ever happened.

When you think about it, China would lose alot of money in the war so if it cost us 3 trillion in Iraq and 5 trillion in afganistian imagine how much it would cost them to invade america!

They won't, because they can't. If anyone will be invading, it'll be the US, and it'll cost significantly more than any kind of war they fought in the Middle East.

We just wouldn't pay them if war broke out, and they would be down trillions. And our economy isn't dependent on their exports, companies would just move to some other corporate friendly nations. Any setbacks would be temporary. If anything, their economy would turn shit when all our corporations left. And they would be on the defensive at all times, the war would no doubt be fought in China, and we have countless more nukes than them, they wouldn't even consider M.A.D.

I wouldn't claim that I am the only one who tends to err on the side of China, but undoubtedly this thread will fall off topic quickly without any major opposition to the ooh-rahs around here.

China doesn't want war any more than the US government claims that the US does.

No other nation approaches the power of the US. Such idiotic rants about us possibly being matched in war are pointless.

Was that a rant? I did not say they were even close to being able to stand up to us. I was just pointing out that many people view them as the second most powerful country on earth. So it is pretty much inevitable that people are going to wonder who would win if the two nations went to war, and so this is why discussions like this frequently pop up.
