How is it his fault that he's got republians running a section of congress that are hell bent on shooting down everything he proposes, even if it is what hey proposed a few years before? And why shouldn't you raise the taxes on the rich? They make more money, thus they should pay more fucking taxes.

Also, just because most Americans are idiots, doesn't mean letting everybody have healthcare is bad. Maybe it's the fact that my mom hasn't been to a doctor in like 5 years, or the fact that there are people who haven't seen a doctor since they were a child, that I find the idea of everybody not having to worry about paying $500 a month to visit a doctor a couple times a year. Most Americans don't know what the hell universal healthcare is or does, and all they hear is FOX news calling it "an evil socialist plot to take over the country", which immediately makes them opposed to it, because America thinks socialism is worse than neo-nazism.

Actually, you cannot tell which side polled which in the poll. So I think it is wrong to stereotype that the entire 55% are idiots. There are no doubt idiots on each side, but I am sure there are intelligent people on each side to. Also, I disagree that all Americans watch FOX News like you do, in fact I am quoting that in my signature because I think its so insane.

To take the taxes argument, taxes is used to finance the government, if taxes cannot sufficiently finance the entire government then there is a problem. Sure there is a problem with taxes being to low, but its sad when a country's own people cannot pay for their own government because it is far to expensive even if all is taxes 100%. So if the taxes cannot finance the government sufficiently then taxes fails. Thus you need to find a way for taxes to finance the government, and if you can't you have failed. Obama is also simply not a good compromiser.

FOX news is terrible, yes. I do not watch it, for I can not watch it for more than 5 seconds without feeling like I wanna kill the people on it. However, I can guarantee you that if you asked Americans if they thought Obamacare is socialist, I bet you at least 75% would say yes. I also bet if you asked Americans if they hated socialism, 90% would say yes. Since most think it's socialist, they are immediately opposed to it. Americans are too attached to ideology, which is why nothing fucking ever gets done anymore.

Obama didn't put us in that situation, so there is no reason to blame him for that situation.

I fully agree with you about Obama. He started with in a terrible situation and still paved the road to get the economy working again, but the republIcans and their voters are just to stupid to see that.

I hope you can put your money where your mouth is because I am going to ask 100 people if they think Obamacare is Socialist. It is happening under Obama's watch, he can decide what reforms need to be done to stop asking for more money (and yes he will have to cut some of his precious programs) or he can stay on track.

In my opinion, compromise is hard in a government like America's. The two main parties effectively block out what can be considered true third parties, which thus limits the opinions put forward in Congress. Secondly, the ideologies of both parties really limit the amount of compromises that can be established. For example, Republicans are generally in favor of less spending, less taxes, and less government (less entitlements). On the other side of the spectrum, Democrats are in favor of more spending, more taxes and more government (more entitlements). What America really needs isn't less taxes and less spending, or more taxes and more spending, but more taxes and less spending, thus maximizing income. Which is why sacrifices need to be made from both sides, Social Security and other entitlements from Democrats and more taxes on the rich and such from the Republicans.Until such sacrifices are ready to be made, then our deficit and economic situation can't be solved. And no, the other side of a compromise (less taxes and more spending) is plain stupid. We need to save up money, to stop interventionism in every fucking crisis in the world. Stop with the petty arguments over social issues like contraception, planned parenthood, gay marriage, healthcare, which, while important, are simply not what America needs. We need focus on economic issues, solve the major crisis we find ourselves in, the recession. So until Democrats and Republicans can compromise on the bigger things to cut (military, Social Security, education (sadly), healthcare) then we are fucked. Third, more senators and representatives are more focused on appeasing what the constituents want, not what the country needs. They are more focused on making sure they get elected for another term than trying to do something that would benefit the country.

Sorry for the long and rambling spiel, but that is just my opinion.

Nice generalization there. There's plenty of Americans, including myself, who are not stupid. If everyone in this country full of hundreds of millions of people were stupid we wouldn't be the number 1 world power right now.
