No you thought that most Americans think its socialist which it is not. Most of the people interviewed say its too conservative. They want something more. Some anarchists ans libertarians think its fascist. Conservatives I interviewed are split between liberal and socialist.

I have nothing against doctors and nurses making a living from it, but the term 'industry' implies some people are getting very rich out of peoples illnesses, which is what I find so bad.

So recently I have been going around asking people who live in countries with universal healthcare what they think of it, the responses have been in the majority in favor of universal healthcare, and then it dawned on me that we are being to much like those other countries, because actually giving a shit about a poor and young is a stupid idea they do nothing for society. So I propose we just get rid of any sort of health care or insurance for are poor and young, and leave the rest to the rich (because it is the American thing to do)

If you think Obama is a socialist, or even worse, a fascist, then as far as knowing about your country, you are not well informed. Said person may be smart in other things, but as far as that is concerned, they are dumbin that respect.

To be honest sly, this issue is not as black and white as you make it out to be, or a debate of morality. Generally speaking, most people I have talked to about universal healthcare in America, both for and against, believe it to be, at the very least, a nice sentiment, and would agree that every American should have health insurance of some kind. Many of the people against universal healthcare do not like it because they believe it to be government intrusion, the slippery slope to socialism, or just not viable in our economy.

I understand that. It's not that I think every person who opposed universal healthcare is an idiot. I am saying that people who call it conservative and fasisct and communist, are woefully misinformed, and, at least on this subject, dumb. By no means however, do I think that everyone who doesn't like Obama care is an idiot.

As I said, radical liberals see it as conservative and some people look back. They say that 50 years ago it would be considered quite Conservative. Thus its Conservative to them.

50 years ago, universal healthcare would be considered a commie plot and would have got you shunned by society. 60 years ago, it would have gotten you killed for treason, thanks to good ol' McCarthy.
