A confused D3adtrap made me think about chinatowns and other such places. Most people outside of America doesn't know that they exist/think they are a joke. I learned that they existed from GTA and other games. When I went to California and saw different immigrant towns I got so excited. Seeing crazy miniatures of every culture side by side can get a bit weird.
Ummm... you do know that Vancouver has a Chinatown, right? Many places around the world have Chinatowns. Most countries with immigrants has minitures of those immigrants' former surroundings and it certainly isn't confined to Chinese. Port cities in particular have immigrant areas. In famous San Francisco alone there is a Germantown, a Japantown, a Russian Hill, etc.
Chinatowns are horrible places. Don't go to one unless you want to get fucked up in many different ways.
The New World is a wondrous place, it's this multiculturalism that creates a new kind of country in America, and is why I dislike calling the United States a nation in the traditional sense, and is why I am proud to be an American. Unfortunately these ideals, as well as those of Liberty and Republicanism, have been largely forgotten by the populace, and, more importantly, it's governors.
Well the Chinatown in Toronto is pretty awesome and it's right next to the university residences so it's great place for students to but cheap food and electronics. It is also prime real estates and that has brought a lot of wealth to the area. It is also one of the reasons Conservatives can never win the Spadina-Trinity riding.
If forced to either live in Chinatown, Barrio, or Black hood, which would you live in? You can't kill yourself.
