Everybody is always going to the political tests, and then saying that the tests don't accurately describe their views. Now while I think that the tests work perfectly fine, and some people are just too ashamed to admit how disgustingly communist they are, or in the case of certain extremists, how communist they aren't, here is a thread for you to describe your political beliefs in your own words.

I'll start, I consider myself among the last of the classical liberals, a defender of liberty in a world where tyranny has become the norm. In that sense I very much adhere to the principles of the modern Libertarian party, or historically to the views of Thomas Jefferson. I am against big government, particularly federal taxes, and see no wrong in the capitalist system, even supporting private initiatives over public ones.

I am not a corporatist, contrary the slander campaign of ComradeLer, nor do I advocate Somalian chaos.

    Your turn.

Note: While asking questions is fine, try not to challenge people's beliefs, lest the debate consume the thread.

I believe doing what would be best in a given situation, and that jumping to idealist extremes will never be a useful social or economic platform.

I tend to favor naturalistic (And I don't mean an "eco-government", I use the word naturalistic in the sense of it being opposed to contrived) human systems. So, I lean pretty libertarian-ish on a lot of issues.

I can't seem to find a definition that would define me, but I shall try.

Definitely a capitalist and slight liberalist, centrist is what I would call my self, if my life depended on my answer.

    I'm just the classical social-democrat/center-leftist.

Edit: I'm a man of few words, and tomorrow is the big exam, so yeah...

I guess the most defining aspect of my political ideology would be called meritocracy. It tries to embrace capitalist virtues (yes there are a few) such as incentivisation for innovation and competition markets with Socialist virtues which I regard as being entirely neccesary for a meritocratic and not aristocratic reward system.

That makes me sound less radical than I suppose I am: given I advocate fully nationalised command economies, which entails no taxes, but reliance on the state for all resources which are distributed directly according to meritocratic proggress. To achieve this it is of course crucial to implement a massive educational reform system and a digital economy.

Its not a massive part of my ideology, but people are often most shocked when I tell them I don't support Universal Enfranchisment.

Oh and E-Democracies all a what I imagine the Assari Republics to be like.

Capitalist. I guess I would define myself as a moderate liberal.

    This too.

If I pick one side, it is like picking one of the lesser evils so that is why I am moderate.

If I had to give my self a title I would say I'm a social-democrat. I believe in Capitalism, but I feel that big business as a little to much influence in the government. I also believe that people have basic human right, especially the right to free speech. I also believe that a government shouldn't get into peoples personal lives.

None, don't care won't ever care, I branded myself with these stupid titles to fit in here when i was still new but now that I'm not anymore I will shed that facade I don't care about politics, when I turn 18 I will only vote on local levels or on propositions that I dont agree with.

When it comes to History I am a huge supporter of monarchism and early fascism. But in modern politics, No.

I would gauge myself as a heavy social democrat, and, well, I actually could give less of a shit about the economies :D! The economy and what to do in it is a piece of shit subject for me and thus I actually just don't care about what to do economically. I mainly focus on social issues or historical events.

Politically some of the most important things in my eyes are:
-the government should serve the people and they couldn't do anything without the populus' knowlege of their actions.
-Free enterprize BUT preventing Monopoliziation of the market.
-the government should recognizing the people's rights for every citizen, and foreigner.
-I believe the politicans who only do their job for personal gains should be kicked out of the political elite.
-I think every citizen should have their rights to exercize their religion, only if it dosen't include hate speech.
-I'm heavily against the use of drugs, legalization of them (Sorry Shaw)

I don't know man, at times, the Roman Empire's system worked amazingly well from around the 70's-181 AD and they weren't necessarily governed by the populace.
