What i seem to understand is that they us to air this on TV which will most likely
get people all hyped for intervention in Mexico. I'm firmly against really because were about to get out
of Afghanistan {supposedly} in the year of 2014. Any thoughts my communist friends and murders?

I swear to god if America sets foot on Mexican territory again I will fucking revolt. With the elections coming up I hope the people will vote for the PRD the people who can save Mexico, if the PRI Or even the PAN win Mexico is finished. I am already upset about the PANs choice of candidate, and the PRI never changes. Mexicos only hope for redemption is the PRD.

What is the question being asked? Is it that should we intervene or stay isolated from the problems of Mexico, or just in general intervention vs isolationism? If it the former, then we should stay the fuck out of Mexico's problems. We might just end up giving it some of the problems America has.

Its the latter but the things is if we stay the fuck out like you said could we by chance see a backlash from the cartels
    as punishment?

No, the cartels don't have the strength to deal with the American military the only reason why the war is happening is because of Mexico's unstable political climate, I think obama would wait until the new president hopefully not apart of the ( Partido Revolucionario Institucional) makes his move, the big political questin in Mexico right now is how to stop the cartels and time will tell if they work, or fail.

Most rebel groups can't fight the U.S military so they use guerila warfare and terror tactics. They can fight us
{not a long war} in a small fight showing "don't get involved or this will happen again". An btw there are people that
have said the U.S would lose prestige if they didn't take of such a problem right next to its borders.

That's what they said rom. I don't take about international relations those cange every day if not by the hour.
But would a intervention help or would it hurt is what is up for grabs. I beleive if its not our problem its not our problem.
but i refuse not to let this go until i see a good argument for both sides and look at this in multiple lens.

If we did not intervene in Korea, it would be one loving Kim-Jon-il country.

I don't know. I can't really imagine the situation being much worse. The Mexican government is just too corrupt at this point to be able to provide any resistance to the cartels. It's teetering on the verge of being a failed state if the cartels would exercise their power in a more focus political fashion. I think America could intervene in a positive way, but more then likely we would intervene to protect our own interests and most likely wind up not fixing the situation just moving it away from American interests.

I just wanted to highlight this part to drive the point home further. It's not bad ass that they wear face masks. It's sad that the police live in such fear from cartel reprisal that they need to mask their faces and hide their identity.
