Have you noticed that the soundtracks in movies have gradually taking a bigger and bigger role in movies? I mean when you look back at old black and white movies; the music was only used to set the right mood for the scene. Now a days music plays a major role in making movies into what they are. For an example Batman: the dark knight; that was one of the first movie where i realized just how big a role the music played in creating the characteres. Just take the joker for an example, i mean Heath Ledger did an amazing job playing the joker but if the music hadden been there itwouldn't have made as big a spark as it happend to do for me doring the movie. So now the a question remains, did actors have more work cut out for them back in the days where they would have to create this character on their own, or have their performance improved with these new tools at their desposal? I know its a kinda stupid question since it bassicly comes down to taste, but just doesn't feel right when there isn't a question to be answered
