What really pisses me off is the lack of grammar from the new members. They don't even bother to use punctuation and capitalize the first letter of a sentence. We need another mod like Kali that really cracks down hard on grammar in the coffeehouse and what not.

I disagree, some people are just bad at spelling and grammar, yes its pretty sad about the minor things like peroids and capitalization but besides that I think its fine as long as I can understand what they are saying. But we can all agree we have posts like

he110 mY nam es Bob, I liek teh perty ladiyes much

I just hate that they obviously make no attempt at grammar. I'd rather have a clear and ordered debate with someone. I don't want some other member coming on and going, "ur all fcking stupid jst cuz ur both not believing my politks"

You didn't capitalise that or add any relevant punctuation, you're part of the problem.

As long as they can articulate their ideas and be reasonably understood, I don't see the problem.

Name the last time since we moved to the new site that we haven't normally argued and gone off topic in most threads along with insults and the like. I'm all for that stopping, just saying.

Haha that's not what I meant. Its ok not to put punctuation and capitalization if its just one word, but don't do it with a sentence.
Its still annoying. And I usually misunderstand something if its all just one run on sentence.

But if everything we did was serious, it would be too much work.
    I'd quit.

Anyone who personally knows me knows that I am about as far away from serious as you can get. I just mean the insults and arguments like all the capitalism vs communism stuff that every thread used to turn into.

But then the forum would be inactive.

Well that's what I was talking about. If there is no punctuation then its just a long run on sentence.

I blame the wiki. It contains slanderous truths, which is why we should do nothing to alleviate the situation.

Well, I think encouragement helps more than being an utter cunt about it, which is what usually happens here. An argument is not completely illegitimate because it isn't 100% grammatically correct. And if you're going to be a cunt about it, make sure your own posts are 100% correct as well. Or don't, it's quite funny to read, and incredibly satisfying to correct if you're not a native speaker.
