Nappy was doing all the work, with a few good subordinates. They got beat to a pulp by Austria when he was gone(especially in Egypt). The Ottomans stomped him at Acre. Britain ruled the seas & it showed.

    Oh forgot Spain, oops.

If Jefferson is so popular why is he, at this time, currently at 0%?

I placed him as an honorable mention. This isn't a poll for honorable mentions now is it?

Jefferson really accomplished little when it came to his presidency. What he is only known for is the Louisiana Purchase and stuff he didn't do while he was president

That's true for most of the Founding Fathers' that became president later on. Except for Washington, I suppose.

John Adams had rather successful presidency given the time period

I'm not convinced about that. At the time of the Napoleonic wars, Britain could only field about 10,000 men in the Peninsular, so I doubt they could have sent more than a thousand or two to America.

Well they eventually did declare war, we fought them in 1812. They were still heavily in the Iberian Peninsular in 1812.

well to be fair that is exagerating a little. But relations between the USA and Britain at the time weren't exactly what you could call great not even okay

We couldn't send enough men to the war of 1812, and there would have been even less men to send if America had declared their support of France earlier.

True. He's another exception. The rest didn't really do much though. The power was mostly with congress at that point in our history.

True, but my point is that Congress had even more power back then than they do now. Presidents didn't have as much to do as they do now.

That would be pretty epic. I think Teddy would win though.

I think Teddy would win in a fight against FDR, but the international backlash about beating up a man with Polio would be so great it would cause Teddy to kill him self.

I disagree. Teddy had a hard time feeling bad about anything.
