Who do you most admire from your country. Only rule is he has to have held some form of politcal office.

Daniel Webster (Great orator, best senator ever from Massachusetts)
Theordore Roosevelt (Most badass Head of State until Putin)
John Adams (Best Founding Father President)
Jimmy Carter (The most underrated President
Abraham Lincoln (no explanation)

Theodore Roosevelt( Like the Op said except he's more badass then Putin)
JFK(hands down one of our greatest presidents)
Patton(my all time favorite american general)
MacArthur( kinda crazy, but he knew how to fight a war and he got shit done)
Abe Lincoln(Vampire Hunter)
Grant(good president and great General)

King Matthias Corvinus(Conquered Bohemia and Poland,had a badass mercenary black knight army,had Vlad the impaler as his vassal)

Count Széchenyi István(Industrialised the nation and Reformed the politics of Hungary,built the Chain bridgeof Budapest)

Imre Nagy(Softened up the Stalinist regime that proceeded him,was one of the key figures of the 1956 revolution.

Personally I have to say the greatest political figure in U.S history is, Stephen Colbert I mean he did run for president.

well, history shows Genghis Khan was apparently a good father and grandfather, so it's surprising, how people are as humans or in personal life.
