How the hell do you know that? Have you asked those women why they want to take care of their kids? This is not fucking Fifties, there are plenty of professional women who don't care for kids at home, so I really don't understand where you are getting "society forces women to stay at home" from. If that where true then why are there so many females in the workplace?

But why do most men not wear it? I know the answer and so do you.

Also wearing a miniskirt should be fine regardless of gender.

Well, its just the drama and technique that I see when you say, "but downright disgusting". I hate that way of getting things across. HOWEVER, you aren't nearly as bad as Kali and your point is actually right so I'll stop giving you a hard time. And I do care about the point, I hardly ever agree with Kali, but the way he presents his views pisses me off to no end, and makes me liable to take him a lot less seriously if hes only fleshing out his debate with ad hominem and rhetoric for dramatic effect. Anyways, it doesn't really matter all that much :p
No, just no. It is perfectly acceptable for a woman to work, and that has been the case since WW2, at the very least.

I really don't now know how to respond you without getting labeled as homophobic. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a skirt, there you an "alternative" reason.

Most men don't wear them because most people think that's weird, but if you want to argue that this is some form of oppression(i'd disagree), then it would be oppressing men and preventing them from wearing skirts. So using your logic, that would mean we are living in a matriarchy because men are pressured away from doing something that women are allowed to do.

It would be a matiarchy if the women where the ones held to be superior, but its men who are. But yes it is a form of oppression. All gender roles are oppressive.

I was about to say we were way off topic, but now I realize gender oppression and free speech are similar, so I'll let it slide :p

"hurr durr mens r da bosses, womens da slaves duuh hur."

edit: I see you deleted this ^^^^.

Well If men not being allowed to wear skirts is some sort of oppression(even though no one is stopping you from wearing a skirt, you'd just look weird), then it's one I can live with because I have no desire to wear skirt and neither do men in general.

because it is obvious that gender roles create on some level, oppression.

    Yup.
Like Yarpen said why is this such a big deal? I already said it's because in our culture it is considered weird, but honestly that amounts to nothing, You are making this out to be some grand form of oppression when in fact it is not. Most men have no desire to wear skirts so it's not big loss, and even if you truly have the desire to wear a skirt you can, nothing is stopping you.

I think what Lenin Cat is trying to say is that our culture is what is oppressing men and women, but mostly women. Our culture does objectify women to a degree. It's nowhere near as bad as other countries, and it's definitely better than 100 years ago, but it's still there and still needs to be addressed.

Women are equal today, I'm sorry but it's true. They have all the same opportunities as men, they go to school they get office jobs, political positions anything that a man can get is within a women's reach. Now of course some people are sexist, there are people of both genders that are sexist against the other. However those people do not equal our society, they are a minority(and they will always exist).

I know that women have the same opportunities and that sexism isn't really very prominent anymore. However this:

Is usually more accepted than this:

Also, don't be sorry about that.

I don't find the male model unacceptable, and it would be a little silly if I did; I mean, he's a model after all
