Being from Wisconsin, the recall election is very important to me. Currently the average of the polls show:

    Scott Walker 51.2%
    Tom Barrett: 44.8%

Although that is not surprising considering Barrett isn't a great mayor who ran against Walker in 2010 and lost. He will probably run again and lose. In a way, its like Adlai Stevenson in 1952 and 1956 against Ike. Walker is not a parade either, but he is not as bad as Barrett. Although I think the Democrats here are pissed that President Obama flew right over the state from Minnesota to Illinois without stopping. Bill Clinton came to support Barrett, but I don't know if it changed anything. So did Reverend Jesse Jackson.

I want to ask you who you think will win the recall?

Also, I want to ask how you think this will effect Wisconsin in the 2012 election? Will it vote for Romney? It might become a battleground state.

    Also, tomorrow is my Birthday!

As a Wisconsin native, I would much prefer Barrett won, just because I hate that Fascist Koch Brother's puppet child fuck Walker.

Its who you think will win, not who you want to win.

I also believe that after, all of walker's efforts to turn the state into some sick industrial oligarchy reminiscent of 1920's america, the people of Wisconsin might be slightly annoyed at the governor's actions.

I do not think he will win because he has only won like 3 polls and that was earlier in the race when people thought Kathleen Falk would get it (who I thought had a better chance of being able to beat Walker than Barrett). But instead the Democratic voters picked Adlai Stevenson 2.0.

I suppose that Obama not visiting was really detrimental to Barretts efforts to be honest.

Considering theres like massive protests in Wisconsin daily against Walker, I'll bet against him...

I also live in Wisconsin, and it does indeed matter to me to. I would say Scott Walker wins, and the recall was a huge waste of money and time. Also their are not "massive protests" daily, minor protests to say the least. If Walker wins Wisconsin could fade more to a red state, no doubt harder for Obama to win.

I don't know man, if there are any protests daily against a governor, he must be a pretty shitty governor.

I really don't know about this one. Walker has a lot of guys against him, but he has got establishment support, outside support, etc. It will be close either way. If I had to put money on it Walker will loose.

He is mediocre if anything. Those protesters are still upset about his Budget Repair Bill that takes away bargaining rights but allows school to more freely pick and fire teachers. However, Tom Barrett is pretty shit mayor if you count the 26% unemployment that has never changed in this city. Did I mention Milwaukee has a mall with barely any businesses in it? We have no good politicians in this state.

Look at the brightside. You've got beer, cheese, and football. That's more than most states can say *looking at you wyomming*

The thing is, since Walker has won, other states that have thought about doing the same thing Wisconsin did with its unions, that weren't going to do them because of the recall, are more likely to do them now that it's clear that doing them doesn't mean you'll lose your job (right away at least, we'll see for his second term).
