I think the ban is only on fast/Venue food.

I used to live in New York, and for the most part thought Bloomberg was a decent mayor. But this is stupid. You can't ban unhealthy foods or drink, you must instead convince people not to consume them. Obesity=solved.

Maybe fill the city will pictures of morbidly obese people having operations, and generally having a rubbish time. You think that would work?

We do have a weight problem in the United States, but I do not feel the government should be ordering us what to eat and what not to eat. I have no problem with them putting healthy choices in school as long as they don't rob a child of their lunch because it seems unhealthy, but its not like we are going to run out of fit people in this country, we just have a lot of fat ones to. And fat people can sometimes be positive.

Basically I am with this guy:

New York is the kind of city where cars intentionally target pedestrians. You have to try harder.

    Try harder?
    Hmm..
Well, you could always force everybody to carve the image of a man dieing of overweightness into their flesh with a blunt knife. Am I getting warmer now?

That reminds me how a few years back some people were trying to rename French Fries, "Freedom Fries".

The mayor is right with his actions supporting a soda ban over 16 ounces I think?
