Sour, he has invaded Poland and I am retaliating. We are not directly at war, but I am trying to prevent him taking over vital Polish land.

Another interesting thing is that Poland's actually a country. At the time it was divided between Germany, Russia and Austria-Hungary. I wonder why it's independent?

Incidentally, there is a "map" which has historically accurate "borders". Not sure about the land, 'cause, you know, Malta and all that stuff isn't there, the islands in the Baltic aren't their own provinces... It's not really supposed to be accurate, they sacrificed that for it's gameplay.

Fascinating. However, I have a paranoid fear that one day I will find a massive Swedish army on my doorstep, to conquer Britain. I'm not sure why, maybe it's just because he's apparently got the best military, and is dangerously close to my Isles.

Anyway, that "Best military" is all bullshit. In no way will we be able to determine who has the best military force in the game until we can produce a sizable force of mechanized regiments, such as tanks, artillery and battleships. You know, since you're an island nation, you are better off placing your troops at the edge of the roads to the coast, just before they initiate an embarking process to go onto water. That way, you can intercept troops that are disembarking, and troops that are disembarking are at roughly 1/4th their strength, so they will be absolutely slaughtered by an inferior force.

Actually, the Baltic sea is pretty important to me, and would jeopardize my naval superiority if an untrustworthy nation were to reside in the area, such as yourself.

And I refuse to allow you to occupy Sweden, meaning I will protect them.
