Should the staff post a justification when they lock, move, delete, or otherwise affect our posts?

inb4lock, probably from someone like Bart and for a stupid reason.

We're asking them to add a few seconds of effort to write one sentence or two explaining how the thread violates the rules and why is should be locked, moved, etc. Or in terms of posts, why the post was deleted, edited, or otherwise. It's actually not that much extra work.

I'd gladly do it for free and leave a justification.

Most of the mods don't do anything, at least not that can be seen by the common-folk like us. The majority of the work is actually doing things like deleting spam-bots. The majority of things we can see are things like locking, in which case I would argue the modship has done a relatively poor job at handling the issue.

It's a mistake to let anyone someone to go unchecked in anything. Obviously the modship can't be expected to do everything perfectly, but they should be able to respond to feedback and not lock every thread telling them otherwise.

Yes, for the most part. But no one is infallible and by allowing us to leave proposals and suggestions we can further improve the stream of good ideas running through the Administration. It benefits everyone.

If they listened to us more, yes, I think they could do better.

You're a mod in everything but title.

That's warping the statement so much you could hardly match the posts up if they weren't quoted. The fact of the matter is that it only makes sense for people to know what went wrong when the modship makes a mistake. That way the situation can be improved and corrected. It's not like anyone is going to crucify the third mod or anything.

Well that's a fancy way to say that you were talking behind Koba's back on Skype.

Exactly, you wont tell us. In fact you just said you refused to tell us.
So you don't tell us what is happening, and then we we make assumptions from the limited information we have, you tell us to "shut the fuck up" because we "don't know what was going on".

And it's not like we made this stuff up. We're trying to piece it together from your own apologies. If there's errors it's because your apologies have errors. I certainly hope you wouldn't lie to everyone like that, would you Chives?

That insult doesn't really make much sense. Are you grasping for scraps?
And in reality, it is when someone locks it for a stupid reason.

To be fair the reason I made the happiness and smiles act is because I get the final say in site policy. No one else, and we already have something like this in the rules so its a gigantic waste of time to continually bring it up. Thread locked.
