Wrong, because people will be forced to live under a new healthcare system which is bad and have to pay money for others' healthcare. In a sense, you are taking away the right to keep what you earn. Basic human rights do not infringe on other rights. Also, the bill is far too expensive for us to maintain and idiot Keynesian economists believe that the best way to solve the problem is keep spending, yet we are still not out of this economic slump and we are still not out of debt, which is why John Maynard Keynes was an asshole prick. Keynesian Economics never works at all and nor does Obamacare. It is believed to cost as much as $3 trillion for the first decade putting us deeper into debt. However, Mitt Romney will win the presidency and repeal Obamacare. So that is good.

And how the fuck does subsidies translate into absolute nationalization? It doesn't, this is simply you attempting to change the subject since I called you out on your bullshit proclamation that "the government is taking over ".

Last time I checked the subject of expanding healthcare coverage has nothing even remotely to do with the policy of spending to create jobs. So you obviously have absolutely no fucking idea what you're talking about.

You have no idea. After he's done sporadically jumping from one piece of rhetoric to the other, he'll resort to simple minded contradictions like: "You are wrong because I say you are wrong! XD"
    It's kinda sad actually.

I love it when people call it "Obamacare" or even worse, "Obamunism." God, people sometimes...

I don't like waiting for a fuckin' ridiculous time in a medical facility for a non-critical situation, but at least I don't have to pay a considerable fee for something important like a surgery.

    Do I not count?

Then by that logic no one should have to pay any tax.

Could've said "It's hamburger shoelaces" and it would've made roughly the same amount of sense.

So any spending on healthcare means the evil government is trying to force the socialist public healthcare system on you.

No, not necessarily, I don't believe we should be spending heavily right now on healthcare, but should be saving money. We need to cut social programs, welfare, and the military to save money. The point is, we shouldn't be spending anything on things that we cannot afford, but Keynesian zombies believe that. What will eventually happen is that we might continue on this path which will ultimately lead to the destruction of the United States. It is not as hard as it seems to cut government, but congress is to partisan to pass anything, luckily that means big spending programs cannot pass to. $3 trillion on Obamacare for just the first decade is very expensive at this time and the government is destroying private enterprise by forcing them to do too much things, that is over regulation. There are more simpler ways than this to solve the healthcare crisis.

Implementing public healthcare really shouldn't cost much money. Of course taxes would go up, but then nobody would have to pay for their own healthcare, which should mean people end up with similar amounts of money overall. The only people paying more should be the rich, although this is dependant on the tax system.

Need I remind everyone that Britain's healthcare system was actually set up when we were struggling under the weight of mountains of war debt? Just do the sensible thing; cut the giant e-penis that is the US military and use the money saved to pay for it. It's what we did. All we had to do was scuttle a few battleships, and bam, universal healthcare for the masses (That might've been something of an oversimplification on my part, but in principle, that's what happened). Universal Healthcare would be cheaper in the long run both for the government and the average American, anyway. And if you're a rich fuck that wants to get his healthcare elsewhere, then feel free to do so. It's not as if private alternatives are outlawed in big bad socialist europe. Sure you still have to pay a measly portion of your taxes towards the national health service regardless, but if you've got enough money to go private in the first place, it really shouldn't bother you.

You're either lying, or most countries in the world are fully of mentally handicapped people. I think it's pretty obvious that it's the former, given who you are, but there are undoubtedly people who'd agree with your statement, so the latter is at least partially true.
    And then there's this...

That quote is taken out of context.
I was saying that tax rises could easily fund public healthcare, and that after the tax rises, most people would not be much worse off, as they would not have to pay for healthcare privately.

I am not opposed to universal health care. I merely wanted to point out how utterly ridiculous the statement you made was.
