    I agree that what he did was vile, but the death penalty isn't what this man deserves. I am against the death penalty in every circumstance. I agree with Lenin on this one. This man needs mental treatment.

    Oh boy, the cry of "But its less costly if we just kill them". Its also less costly to not treat your cancer-ridden kid and let him die, its less costly to kill the severely mentally retarded then to take care of them for there whole life...

    The whole idea behind "Its less costly to kill them rather then treat them" is comparable to eugenics. It is barbaric and wrong, you don't kill someone because they cost society tons of money due to a inability to contribute.

    Except when that person is an untreatable murdering negrophiliac, who obviously does not feel any remorse for his actions. Whether he is sent to the big house or killed, either one will do. I don't think an untreatable murderer = cancer-ridden child. I'm offended by that comparison, to be honest.

    We have no idea if this murderer is untreatable, we haven't even seen long-term therapy for this man.

    Both(well most likely, I don't know for sure if the murderer has some kind of mental issue, but given the brutality of his crime I assume so) have severe health impairments. One is mental and one is physical, but both are serious health conditions.

    @Vulcan, adding personal bias doesn't help one make a logical opinion, it harms ones ability to make a logical opinion.

    What's up with all the hate and revenge? You should at least wait until he has been psychologically evaluated. Death is not something to be taken lightly and taking another person's life is a terrible thing to do, whether it's done so illegally be a person in the form of murder or by the state in the form of a sanctioned revenge-killing.(which it is, don't fool yourself into believing that this has anything to do with justice)
    Read Lenin's posts if you want my view on how to deal with persons like this guy.
