I used to live in Mexico. For quite a while. I'm not sure what your intentions were but this thread is insulting as fuck. I haven't read the whole thing because the first post pissed me off enough.

This is disgusting and I don't know why it exists.

If you kept reading, you'd know that I mentioned how Mexico sucks balls to live in, hence why immigration is an issue. With everything, there are pros and cons. Life isn't black and white, this entire planet is a clusterfuck of grey. The longer we remain grey, the more everything becomes the same tone of said grey and discovering what is good and bad will become even more difficult to accomplish. The American system is getting abused or ignored. I could go into depth about how American welfare is being abused as well by Americans.

We, as a people, have a bad tendency to perceive things in a spectrum of two things. Politically speaking, its left and right with a middle ground. Unfortunately, this perspective is terrible 2d when the world is far larger than that. We view two directions when there are far more. If we start viewing more variables for what they are instead of part of the spectrum we have now, then it will be a lot easier to fix what is broken.

I loved being in Mexico, but I wouldn't want to live there. It was beautiful with good food and gorgeous women. Unfortunately, there was a lot of fuck ups there (such as corruption and drugs). Though the corruption may or may not have anything to do with the United States, I promise you that the drugs do. The entire cartels are funded by drugs they sell in the United States. They exploit a lot of the United States to achieve their goals. I don't mean to say Mexico is better than the US, because (and as much as I don't wish to say this) its not.

If a dog bites you once, you put it down. If a criminal commits a crime many times, he will receive many slaps on the wrist. Are criminals smarter than dogs?

No. But that doesn't mean our system is smarter than a dog either.

This thread is not to belittle the United States, I'm not European for Christ's sake. This thread is simply to point out "Hey, that is broken and needs to be fixed!" Unfortunately, nobody is going to fix it. This has nothing to do with who is better, just who notices as well.

Where do you all stand concerning Mexico and illegal immigration? Why do you think as you do? Do you know that Mexico is poverty stricken and most Mexicans view the United States as it was supposed to be viewed practically a century ago, with the idea that you can be poor, weak, or hungry and become something here instead of anything else?

The American dream is fading because we, as a nation, are failing to maintain it. This is all I wish to say.

I have been to Mexico for fishing, and Baja California gets shitty at the border and nice when you drive down in, but the Military - like you said are crawling all over guarding these tourist points and drive around in truckloads of dudes.

I have plenty of Friends that are "Mexican" and some are cultured far enough too say there American, to forget about their ancestry? Should we forget ancestry? , this depends on your view of the world and this Counter culture world we are slowly developing into.

As for the American dream, I can say it is changing into something else, a Capitalist society is slowly being looked down upon and perhaps soon we will advance to something else but this is just a theory.

About illegal immigration, I think the simplest way to stop it, or slow it down at least, is to make it easier and more attractive to come here legally. The last thing we should do is build some Great Wall of Mexico with crocodiles and lions and tigers guarding the border, like some want.

As for the democrats being racist and claiming they own minorities, the president of the united states is black and a democrat...

Exactly my point. There was a black dude in the Republican primary but he dropped out. Jim Crow laws (I know, they switched sides and what have you BS) literally forced blacks to vote for Democrats, hence why most of them are democrats now.

In High School, I was called a racist by student's parents. I got along just fine with their kids, perfectly fine mind you... but I was called a racist and threatened at some points (some Filipino lady threatened to run me over with her car as I sat on a pillar waiting for a bus. Not the only moment, but definitely the most amusing). I was cursed by having my father's skin! Zounds!

Don't get me wrong, there were racists in High School, I just called them idiots and moved about my way. I never knew where that racist crapped sparked from, but it was annoying as hell. I had the good fortune of the teachers to defend me, so it didn't really harm me all that much. I do, however, treat the blatant use of the race card as immature as is the calling of people who oppose someone a racist.

Republicans are called racists. My dad (who is white, mind you, also having served in Vietnam as a US Marine) is a Republican. My mom, who is straight from Sinoloa is registered as a Republican.

My dad married a Mexican woman. My mom is a minority. They are RACIST!!!

The entire race debate is stupid. Most Democrats, be them large or small, get away with racist remarks. Hillary Clinton and Mexicans, Rosie O'Donnell and Asians, Seth McFarlane and practically everything... Why do we not criticize them? NFD.jpg

Not really, since the knowledge is freely accessible by anyone.(I assume, though I'm not entirely sure what you think they have "in their closet.")
