Lets do nothing! Isolationism seems a proper choice in a country so small and unimportant, barely anyone can find it on a map in the educated world.

Well to be fair, some of the rebels are Al-Qaeda/Taliban-like.

True, but not many of them and just because those groups support them doesn't mean they are them.

It's dangerous to support a movement that has even tenuous links to extremists or terrorists.

I would think it's even more disgusting to sit back and watch all those people get massacred. This is why we were ridiculed for not stepping in in places like Rwanda. Because we just thought it would be better to sit it out and see what happens.

But the rebels are the ones who are massacring people. If this is truly about helping people, and not just an illegal regime change, our governments would support the Assad regime.

Edit: And who the hell is criticizing you for Rwanda? The only people I've seen do that are Americans. The world does not want you to intervene, we never have. Shut up with that stupid 'Well if we don't invade people will be angry at us' world-police rhetoric - because that is one of the main reasons people hate America/Americans.

So you have absolutely no problem that the world sat back and watched while thousands were slaughtered in Rwanda. You would really have rather wanted the US and the UN to NOT intervene, because you despise them for some childish reason, then to stop a massive genocide? You sir are despicable.

Because the massacre of almost a million people (and the Congo wars that followed) should be completely ignored and everyone should do nothing because its Imperialist.

But when you think of it, Assad is going pretty soft on the rebels when compared to that.

*not that I support the rebels at all.
