NKVD All-Night Skype calls

After some deliberation following the popularity and success of the last five attempts, it's been decided by @Chives and I that our all-nighters should probably be more regulated, thus, we are posting this so that it isn't as spontaneous, and so no one gets left out.

Unless there's an exception, all of our calls will begin at 8PM eastern time, nightly. Should there be a cancellation on our end, we will do our best to let you know. You don't have to stay all night, you can just drop in and see what's up. There are really no rules to what happens, but only the best last until the sun comes up.

The call will be initiated by either Chives or myself and you will be invited by us, anyone starting a call on their own will be ignored. This is to ensure we have some degree of control over whatever may occur during the session.

No mic is required, but it is seemingly preferable. Especially if we are coordinated enough to play games together, which does happen. We had one themed night, where we all played WoW but so far it's just whatever happens, happens. Any theme or game suggestions can be suggested here.

Just adding that if you leave please say so and for how long, it helps minimize confusion. Having a decent microphone is definitely a big bonus, but it's not as necessary recently with the large number of people. If you're wondering what we do, generally we just chat about anything and everything, sometimes while playing games such as World of Warcraft or online browser pictionary. Don't hog the air, and try to minimize bitching, kobashenka does more than enough of that.

@Chives and @kobashenka, work out which of you has the superior internet connection and that person should have the priority in hosting the call.

So, is there a single Skype group for this, or do you make a new one every time?

We make a new one every time. It all depends on who's online.

Ok. We do have this other single group from another forum, although after a while the hundreds of chat messages I get on Skype when I wake up is kind of annoying.

So, as some may know, I was going to get a headset yesterday, but then I felt nauseous and fell asleep. I managed to find a $40 headset at Walmart, and am probably going to go get it today.
