Do you think the conditions of Brazil will improve by a significant amount in the near future?

It should improve, but I fear it would only happen under a dictatorship, the current Republic system isn't improving life conditions, mostly due to corruption.

Didn't Brazil have some military dictatorships back in the past?

Yes, between 1964 and 1989. During that time we had a lot of social and infraestructure development, but with too much strain for the economy causing massive inflation. But the military did well in not stealing money from the public.

Our economy only grew because we weren't affected badly from the world crisis, we actually profited from it, Lula had nothing to do with that. You could say Lula created some new subsidy programs for the poor, but with so many corrupt politicians stealing money from the state coffers, there's not much you can do.

We hear wonders about Brazil here, specially about Lula. But a dictatorship is not a solution.

Its not a bad country to live in, I just think that other countries like the US, Japan or Europe are better to live in then here.

This is Sparta Latin America, of course that those other places are better. I don't know that much Brazilian history to say it, but for us at least, we are in one of the most stable periods; if we keep going without any major "set backs" I think we will join the so called First World.

Argentina is closer to that then Brazil, mostly because our society has a very big difference in personal profit, I mean, the rich are very rich and the poor very poor. The middle class is almost inexistant, you're either rich or poor in here, I classify in 'rich', but to your standards, we're middle class.

And you can be the Prince of Mexico, which will end up resulting in erotic fanfiction between you and Yuri.

I'm not a noble though so it would end up being a dictatorship then a monarchy.
