I am sure all those people who died peacefully inside their own homes, sitting upon a great empire or a great fortune would agree, unless they are egotistical. For those who get banished or die before their time (Napoleon, Hidalgo, etc) no. They were unlucky, but they still impacted the future.

I'm sure Napoleon was extremely lucky in many points in his life. I mean even the little things, he must have been in the right places at the right times to achieve what he did. I'm not saying he wasn't a great man, but lots of things need to go right before you become Emperor of France, however great you are.

You don't turn the biggest laughingstock of an army (armee di italie) into one of the most effective fighting forces of the time through luck.

Most of what Napoleon did was down to his immense skills and talents.

What I am saying is that without a little bit a luck, he would never have been in a position to use those skills. For example, if he had not been in the right place at the right time to use the revolution to take power, he would have accomplished far less than he did.

Well...yeah considering if one second of either of your parents lives had been changed you wouldn't have been born or at least not be the same as you are now. Butterfly effect, remember?

No not Kali I think it was Shaw. But that was one of the things people of the forums have actually convinced me of. That its a good solid theory and that weed should in fact be legalized.

Stupid as hell... but I agree on this point. If we couldn't control alcohol back in the 30's, what makes people think a PLANT can be controlled now?

Well, my reasons are a bit more expansive than that, but yeah...basically. Cigarettes are often more harmful than weed, and those are legal. I'm not in favor of legalizing anything besides weed though.

No one. I just hope people are smart enough not to believe these things should be legalized.

Heh, yeah... About that. I am not sure how I feel on legalizing other drugs. However, if I could get @BattalionOfRed to comment on this, it would be dope (no pun intended). I heard in Portugal they have no bars on any drug, everything being legal and what not, and generally aren't hurting from it. However, this is a secondhand account and I am not willing to confirm it myself. Perhaps someone who lives there could tell us more, hence my linking of Fred.

I don't live in Portugal, my location stating I live in Cuba, Portugal is just a joke. Because, you know, Cuba is a town in Portugal, ha ha, that's funny. As for the question, I don't know what you're talking about, I've been all around Portugal, but have never heard a thing about drugs, not that I'd want to. I don't particularly care for the subject, but if I had to provide an opinion, I would rather drugs be illegal, and medicinal drugs be given and used strictly for it's purpose.

I don't know what anybody's deal with Marijuana is, but I get nauseous around the stench of cigarette smoke, so I don't think I'd feel well around marijuana smoke.

Drugs aren't legal in Portugal, there is just no criminal penalty for their possession or private use. And so fad such a policy has only benefited the nation and its people.
