I thought his approval rating hit an all time low and plummeted to 125%? Sounds legit.

Need it be worth mentioning that there is an open, and mainstream christian/social democratic political party in North Korea? AFAIK, Kim jong il was a baptized orthodox-christian.

Edit: Also, Putin is lying, thieving scum. The Communist party should have won those elections.

Omg it's a conspiracy! Kim Jong il has a legitimate claim to be the ruler of the long lost eastern roman empire! That's why he was building nukes!

That's the saddest thing about Russia to me. Their current system of leadership is corrupt and undemocratic, yet the only opposition is the communists.
Sometimes I think Russia should be dismantled and then the individual parts can sort themselves out on their own.

Why do you assume the communists would win?

In the last three elections, they have won the second highest amount of votes, by at least 20%. (In the last election, Putin scored 40-something%, with the Communists scoring 33%, and the next highest party getting 16%). In some regions, they got up to 60/70% of the votes. Considering that putin relies heavily on election fraud, I think it is the clear that the communists would have won in any fair election.

As was said, the Communists are the only -real- opposition there.

Maybe not have won, but the results would have been really close.

Can communism be elected in, I though it can only brought in trough class struggle and revolution.
