    Danzig's fleet is quite literally no threat to me. The journey to the Mediterranean will be long and costly. Danzig could easily stop trading with Tyre and turn to English, Dutch or French trade goods, they don't have to rely on us. They can always go to the West Mediterranean anyway, I'm sure the Imperium or Spanish nations would be more than happy for a Northern trade partner.

    Yah but they are never around. Also I have no interest in focusing on their markets, and the English wont answer my diplomats.

    The Dalmatian navy construction has gone into overdrive.

    With Tyrian shipbuilders' expertise, along with our own considerable experience, we aim to build a further 15 galleys, to add to our current five. This may take some time, but we will divert considerable efforts towards it.
    We have also begun the construction of more trade ships, which will be put into action as soon as each is ready.

    Dalmatia would be happy with a 50-50 split for the profits from the Tyrian goods. We will inform Tyria when the first of their goods is sold in Europe, at which point we will start sending some of the profits to Tyria.

    With the help of Spartan experts, our military will begin expanding to have 1000 regular soldiers, although this takes secondary priority behind the production of ships.

    Look, we both need this trade, no-one else can provide the goods you seek other than Tyre and it's close ally, the Levantine Kingom, which would also take part in this Phoenician 'monopoly' you talk about. Babylonian goods won't get to you either, it's much to far for any land caravan to travel safety. Only Tyre and it's allies can provide the Eastern goods you seek. If you call that monopoly, then so be it.

    Tyre will accept this, though we're not quite sure how far this operation could go with other state's threats against it.

    I sent some a bit ago... but nevermind that, would trade do our two nations any good? I have rare minerals and lots of timber, as well as some stockpiled rare commodities from trade with the east.

    @Thefatkid
    I wish no trade monopoly.
    I am here only to serve as a gateway between the east and those European nations who might find it too far to get Tyrian or Levantine goods.
    My deal with Tyria will not at all affect any trade you might have going on, only allow for more nations to see the finery that the East has to offer.
    I urge you to reconsider your proposal.

    Carthage will give over its ownership of eastern Crete to Tyre if Tyre sides with us. But Carthage would like to keep naval ports in Crete. (plus Athens is never on)

    Thefatkid, we have to think about this, this could be good or bad for both of our economies.

    Another year of the Golden Age is what Supreme Leader Supreme has been saying in broadsides and speeches across London. Roads criss-cross London's territory, and ships not only fill the whole of the Thames, but have spread throughout the English Channel, and bring in much profit to London's coffers. London has now put emphasis on naval domination as troops are mustered out and instead put on boats to be trained as sailors. The army has been reduced to 3,000 spearmen, 200 cavalry and 1,000 swordsmen, with most of these troops sent on patrolling most of the uncolonized territory south of the Thames. Negotiations with Swansea are still being held, and we expect favorable results. A new metal, iron, has recently been discovered, most of it going toward implementation on boats with little success. @Surfusa

    We accept such favorable trade conditions. We request lots of timber, and in return can send back many tons of bronze for armor and weaponry.

    We will allow Carthaginian naval bases in Tyrian Crete, though we would still like full control over Cyprus.

    Excellent. London wishes for further negotiations that can lead to a beneficial alliance in the future.

    Then it would be rash of you to punish me for Tyrian actions. I trade with many people, both with you and Tyria, and I wish to continue to remain neutral.

    @Shisno
    What happened to my trading people?

    We're the only state which can provide you with these goods, we only want to make them readily available to far-off foreign states.

    I wish to further these talks, at one cost, both of us supply a number of military ships to protect trading vessels that are neutral in wars.
