I find it offensive because autism is not something to fuck about, the same goes for mental retardation, and for the former a lot of people apparently doesn't even know what autism really is. But is probably a cultural thing; I've noticed that many times when you want to say that something sucks you say that's gay, we don't do that (and it's not because we are all super polite)

Watching how threads devolve. I think I understand.

It begins with an idea. Then that idea is debated. Then the debaters are questioned. Then the questionening is questioned.

And because Europeans think so badly of Americans, that is why autism is an insult. Still... SORTA relevant, but we are a couple of ponies away from having a formed a smoldering piece of thread from complete derailment. Almost there, Team! :D

I have faith that he will. However, I can not abide in good conscience.

Actually, no. I think I can and will.

Something I have learned about America's policies... they are liked by the strangest of peoples. There are places in the South Pacific where America is glorified. A few Australians I know prefer the US over the UK. I mean... the hell? Here is a more interesting example. I was talking to this Chinese dude a hella long time ago and he was all like "I wish I could afford to go there to live." Then he said something particularly bad about Mexicans and how they jump borders and shit, which was hilarious because I was in a room with a friend who was also Mexican. He was talking to two Mexicans. He felt guilty, but it made me wonder.

Why is it always US and other nations who we derive opinions from? Hear me out on this. Is South Korea renowned anywhere else? Only in Starcraft. When is the last time anyone said a word about Mongolia? Never.

Fact of the matter is, America IS big. My theory is that we are simply in that the US is in the news all the time elsewhere. I remember a lot of news in Mexico involved the US. Maybe the US is perceived as arrogant because the media won't stop covering US stories. Perhaps once the US spends a day or two off of foreign TV channels, then maybe people would stop caring.

Something I have learned about ALL people is that you don't need to be born in the US to be a douchewaffle. People are people. Can't we all just get along... and admit that Mexicans are the best people?
