I think you should only do that if Spartan forces reach close to Athens, where actual Tyrian forces will be involved.

Carthage demand a ceasfire with Tyre. Let Sparta and Athens sort this out. Why should Tyre and Carthage kill each other over a greek war. Carthage and Tyre should be working together to control the mediterranean.
Tyre itself will accept a ceasefire with Carthage, provided it immediately withdraw all fleets from Greece's surrounding seas and surrender Crete to Tyrian control. We will not stop warring with Sparta, however.
You lost nothing from this war so far. We still outnumber them in naval ability. Sparta asks for you to reconsider.
Carthage, we beseech you to stay away from Sparta. If you side with them you will only bring about the destruction of Carthage. Stay neutral, and you could still prosper as a power in the western Mediterranean.
