Raphael and Aeric met the day after the election, discussing how to spend the next couple of years running Danzig. Due to the Civil War, the Danzig economy was badly hurt, and trade was damaged as well. So as a first edict, Aeric and Raphael signed and issued the Trade Bill, which was passed with close vote. The bill invested a large of sum money into building better and faster trading vessels, as well as financialy backing merchants and their expeditions. The bill also sent a diplomat to the Danes, English, Welsh, and Moroccans asking about the current state of trade, and any possible ways to adapt new methods of trading, or new goods that may be in high demand.
If I were you I'd stay out of it. Whichever side you choose could have lost by the time your troops get there.
