The Southern army is still there, and numbers around 48000 troops right now. At least one battle is solid.
The 10k Spartans and 5k Poznan mercenaries fought me. I believe they ambushed me and we lost 20k Scythians where they lost 15k Spartans/Poznan mercs.
That is what they gave me! I just work here! We are redoing the battles. Well, not the one south of Sparta. Until I know where the Romans actually were at Athens, nothing can be done. Your side said that 10,000 of them were en route to Sparta from Athens and so were ambushed by the Scythians. Their side says that the 21,000 Romans were still at Athens. What russianguy posted suggests that your side is right. Whether there were the 10,000 Romans is in question, but I have already compensated for the 5,000 Poznan mercs there in addition to the 10,000 Spartans.
If all the romans, all 20 thousand apparently, were at Athens, that means Scythia faced 5,000 poznan mercenaries. But I still doubt that Rome even had 20 thousand men there.
I remember quite clearly a post from thefatkid saying he wanted to move 10k troops from Sparta to meet the landing, as well as 10k Spartans from Athens. I moved to cut the 10k from Athens off and Russian said 20k Romans would move south as well. Then thefatkid said something to the equivalent of, "Nah." and Russian kind of shrugged. I'll try to find the page. It was right after our landings.
I'm pretty sure @UtterlyImpeccable and his trade officials help up a pretty substantial Roman army too.
*Grumbles darkly under breath* That would be wonderful, so I don't have to recalculate that battle. Here is where they moved the 20,000 Romans to Athens. Of course, it was on page 111, so I need to know if they ever moved them. The closest I got was this on 112: I don't know if they are talking about different forces or the same force at Athens. Find me that page then.
They can't be coming to Greece, Dalmatia intercepted a Roman force trying to head into Greece, which had cavalry in it.
So while searching I discovered a few things. First, there was only a thousand Carthaginians ever sent to Athens. They all left when the ceasefire was called and on Sparta's call one thousand returned. Carthage never sent any more than that. Also on Page 108, there's a post by UtterlyUnpeckable saying he stopped some Roman forces: And then again on 107: Also I found a post on page 106 by thefatkid saying, "I lost track lol" when Skyicewolf asked him how many of his forces were in Greece. No statistic, but just sayin'. Page 104 was the landing page. Here thefatkid says: He moved 10k from Sparta proper, and 10k from the Siege at Athens. Later I say(page 105): Just a few posts later on Page 105, Rome says: The horsemen are held up Dalmatia (as I said earlier in my post) and the 20,000 Romans went to "engage enemy forces". Other than Athens itself, my Scythians are the closest thing to enemy forces so we can only assume he sent them to attack me. It's odd though because then I ask: And he doesn't reply. Edit: And I forgot this by UtterlyImpeckable, saying the Roman General/his Horsemen are being questioned.
Oh, and Sparta, since the war must go on, how many troops do you have in Sparta proper? Last I checked it would be something like 10,000, but i want to be sure. @Thefatkid
So give me the rundown @Karakoran. What forces are we talking and where? You have the proof, now I just need the numbers.
It seems I was actually fighting 20,000 Romans, 10,000 Spartans, and 5,000 Poznan mercenaries. This would completely change the battle as there's really no way to ambush someone with 30,000 guys in an open, hilly area. As for the Siege of Athens, I read it up and it looks like there were 1,000 Carthaginians, 15,000 Sardinians (even though DomoSunz hasn't posted in forever) and some number of Spartans. Probably around 10,000, I'd say. Though Sparta will certainly contest that.
