I always thought hell to be a place of being and state of mind instead of an actually place. (If it exist)

Apparently in Judiasm there is no hell, just some heavens... less pleasant than others. Like ant heaven! Heaven for ants, not really for you!

The spiritual afterlife in referred to as the Olam Ha-Ba, the world to come, this is another but higher state of being. The Talmud states that all people have a share in the Olam Ha-Ba, but not all shares are equal. A more rightous person will be given a larger share. People can also lose there shares through wicked deeds.

The place of spiritual reward is referred to as the Gan Eden, a place of spiritual perfection. Sources vary on what one experiences, reasoning that the living can no more understand this place than the blind can understand color. Only the very righteous go directly to the Gan Eden, the average person will go to a place of purification known as Gehinnom or She'ol. Views of Gehinnom are split, some seeing at a place of fire and brimstone and other seeing it as a place where we see objectively our actions, the harm we have done, and the opportunities that we have missed (I believe in the latter). The period of time in Gehinnom does not exceed a year, then the person ascends to Olam Ha-Ba. The truly wicked are in Gehinnon for the entire 12 months, sources differ on what happens at the end of those 12 months. Either the wicked's soul is destroyed or the soul continues to live in Gohinnom.

Eh. Sounds better than the one-size-fits-all requirements that most Christian sects have for that paradise and punishment jazz. I just can't get around the whole life-style restrictions section of Judaism.

I bet if the Germans won ww2 they would be defending the nazis the same way you are defending the christians. Christians/Catholics have had to much atrocities committed in there name for them to still be around, they should be rid of.

Reform Judaism has very little restriction. They do not believe that the Torah was divinely inspired and observe the commandments are such. They retain the values and ethics of the religion as well as come of the cultural practiced.

Here's a link to their main website: http://urj.org/

I admit that some Christians take it to the extreme, but you are better then them correct? So why do you want the same to happen to the Christian population that is mostly innocent? You are no better than the Christians you want to be rid of. So you only target Christians too? Why not every religious group in the world because they have all committed atrocities? Why not atheists because I am sure there are atheists just as bad as the Christians you describe? You are a terrible person. I have two words for you "Fuck off!"

    That is completely irrelevant.

    Fundamentalist? Bitch you cookin'?

I'm a part of a Chabad-Lubavitch temple, which is a variation of the Orthodox movement.

When I typed it out, I was almost afraid to follow the link because there was a good chance neo-nazis beat me to it.

    EDIT:
As usual, Trotsky's forehead is too large..

Don't you hate it when a person saves someone. The person thanks god for the rescue and not the person that rescued them. Just the fact they even give credit to god is stupid.

Can't you just say "Yeah, well, thanks, but no thanks."

Don't you hate it when you believe in something and a random person is being an absolute cunt about it, even though he has no fucking clue what he's blabbering about?
