You're not raising awareness. You're telling me I should despise a country that I don't know too much about and that I've never been too or experienced. I'd venture a guess and say you've never been to it either.
I would not consider it to be. I wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't feel as if its an atrocity either. And I DEFINITELY wouldn't compare it to an occupation.
Because you need support from other countries in this day and age. I'm not talking about military support, but you need international recognition and support. Egypt and Libya's rebels needed it and got it. Bahrain's rebels needed it and didn't get it, and are being slaughtered with no one really caring. Everyone cares about Syria on the other hand, and they're STILL seemingly loosing.

I am raising awareness about a horrible government. This isn't something you can argue, I'm doing it.

Then you're a horribly complacent little boy.

We aren't talking about a civil war, we're talking about changing a government

Well you certainly weren't doing it here.
Since when was Egypt a civil war?

    Again, wrong.

Never, but "international recognition" didn't help out the rebels too much. The army refusing to fire on the protesters is what caused a regime change.

International recognition did help a lot. It always has helped and it always will help, in any sort of protest. Everything from the American Revolution to India to South Africa to Egypt.

Again, I wasn't talking about wars. I'm talking about changing a government.

    India was not a war.

South Africa was not a war.

    Egypt was not a war.

All of those were peaceful revolutions. Great examples of them.

What the hell are you even debating? Peaceful revolutions are the best but where did "international recognition" come into play at all in India, or South Africa, or Egypt?

They were internationally recognized as places that needed to change and the people trying to change them were supported, at least morally, by much of the world. Especially South Africa and Egypt.

And that did what, exactly? You haven't said how that's helped. Also, the Shaw is right. We should get back to hating on Russia.

To answer your question, it legitimized them and put pressure on the government they were trying to change. Now I'm done. I just picked up a shitton of Paradox games from the Steam summer sale and I intend to play them :p

We've wound this debate down to nothing anyways. Its like the war of 1812.

Yeah I'm bored of this too. On a lighter note, I would never buy a Paradox game on Steam. I would be ashamed of the hour count...
