Stalin, you can get up to seven party member at most with the prothean dlc. The minimum you could have with your current playthrough are the five you currently have.

Stalin, unfortunately you have to play multiplayer to make the Galactic readiness rating go up, I find this to be extremely shallow, making a new feature of theirs in a game mandatory, lol.
