In... Iowa, I think, the ballot was sooo messed up. It had people like Cain and such on there even though they dropped out.

True, but it would be hard for a third party to win.

There isn't much harm done by leaving those guys on. Just less write-ins to count...

Agreed he got 20% of the vote even if he did not get one electoral vote, but T.R. got several states in his third party run in 1912 and so did George Wallace in 1968.

Yes they do, but they tend to split the vote. The biggest example would have to be the Election of 1912.

Roseanne Barr wants to be the Green Party candidate? Really? Well, I guess it's a bit of an improvement over Cynthia McKinney, who later turned out to be a total dye in the wool Gaddafi supporter.

I can never take politicians that are former actors/actresses seriously, and that includes Reagan to some extent.

What about former sports players?

Reagan became a governor before president.

And he acted before that.

Yeah, so he was not an actor exactly before he was president.

Yes he was. He started in films before he even got into politics. People knew him as an actor throughout his entire political career.

He was not acting and governing at the same time. When he ran for president, he was a retired actor and a current governor. When he was running for governor he was a current actor.
