I often wonder what India will do or if it has a chance as super power status....most likely not.

They have potential, just like Brazil. Both do have a long way to go, though.

like rising population, famine, Maoist rebels, and Pakistan.

What this is way on topic..... Everyone knows Chinese History repeats its self like crazy so what happens today will be exactly what happen to the Ming, Han, or Zhou dynatsys.

Not really.
The Nationalists and the Communists are hardly a repetition of what has already happened.
And even if it was, remember, many of the Chinese Dynasties had the means and oppertunity to expand their power and influence WELL beyond the borders of China. They just didn't have the motivation to do it. They felt cozy where they were and content to deal with THEIR OWN PROBLEMS, not meddle in others'.

Oh heck yeah they had the means to expand their power and influence, Just look at there freaking Treasure fleets at the time. They would make the Spanish gallons there bitch.

It'd probably go more like this:
Sailor: "Adrimal! We hit something!"
Adrimal Zheng He: "Yeah, no durr! I felt it... what is it and how did we miss it?"
Sailor: "It looks like a... is that a sail? The thing is so small! Are those bodies in the water and men screaming for help?"
Adrimal Zheng He: "Hey! Look! We found gweilo-land!"

and then a message would go out to Adrimal Zheng He, that would read

"Yo Zheng, there is this new thing called isolationism, everyone go back to China now.....No exploring for you.

And hand over all your records...

Actually, if I recall correctly, this was a time of tolerance for Buddhism in China.

Zheng He was a Muslim. So how about Islam in those times...

He was also a eunich in the service of the Emperor. After his people were conquered. Alore....

And about the Confucius thing... if I recall correctly, he warned against the giving of power to eunichs.

Technically speaking China was well aware of Islam. Just that the monarchy didn't relly... well, bite.

It was implied sarcasm, infact Islam and China have had a big effect on each other.
