I still would require both proof and objective comparisons to other civiliations of the time to make such a bold declaration.
I would never say that China was so far up there, even if I said that they were pretty close.

I can get you some proof, may take me a while to find anything not biased to the side of the Europeans.

Take your time. I know how hard it is to look up stuff. I am still looking for those concrete population numbers for Chinese cities in 1519. For the time being, I am still using the logic argument that I presented earlier.

The Aztecs impress me alot. however when i get to the info (will take a day cause i have current h.w to do) i will instead point out a random trivial fact about the Aztecs.

You see most people considered (cough Europeans cough) the Aztec ritual of the pulling out of someones heart to be barbaric, when really the heart wasn't the real meaning of the ritual it was the blood. For you see the Aztec believed that one of there gods cut himself (i believed it was on the penis) and his blood spiled onto the land fertilized the crops and creating a wonderful harvest, which the Aztecs then repeated.

But Athens won more battles and could have ended the war and taken over Greece. It was their greed that lost them war or their stupidity.

What could have happened is irrelevant, what matters is what did happen.

What matters is they lost. Their city became occupied and Sparta installed a puppet government. Sparta won end of story.

*Facepalm* The Athenians were ignorant and didn't accept peace from Sparta to conquer all of Greece. They lost the war themselves. It SHOULD HAVE happened. They won the war fair and simple. Did you not read my sites?

IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW THEY LOST THE WAR, WHY THEY LOST THE WAR OR EVEN HOW THEY COULD HAVE WON THE WAR. ALL THAT FUCKING MATTERS IS THEY LOST.

They didn't need to make fleets, it's like saying that Switzerland sucks because they don't have a fleet, they were an inland nation, Tenochtitlán was an island city as well. You ever heard of "La Noche Triste"? The spaniards got their asses kicked by some thousands of rowing boats, some spanish soldiers even drowned just so they would not leave their gold behind, they were greedy as hell at the time, it was major loss for Cortéz and his conquistadores + native allies that made about 90% of his army.

Yeah his actual soldiers were about 500 men. I am just shocked that natives actually joined him.

Why? Didn't they see him like a god? Also, what would you do if you were offered help by a technologically far superior nation and are in the position to overthrow a rival tribe?

All that matters is who won and who lost. History is written by the victor.
As far as I know, only the Aztec religion believed he was a God.

Well, the Aztecs didn't have their "own" religion, the Mesoamerican tribes at that time mostly believed in the Sun God "cult", so I'd say that the Tlaxcalas and other allied tribes did believe that Cortéz and his conquistadores were the Gods that came back.

No it does not. Because the world would not be all that different.

Kind of would. The Romans wouldn't have become the dominant power: Athens would have. Macedonia wouldn't have become dominant. Persia would have been conquered by Athens. Athens probably would have conquered the Mediterranean.

You just took a step from reality to downright fantasy

And the Spanish had shit compared to the Aztec at the time, the only reason why the Aztec got destroyed was because of the disease that got carried over and the other tribes went against them.

The majority of the elites of Spain where scared of this. you guys are getting a very pro-european biased view.
